BARexpert© is an investigation tool that was first developed for Barrault Recherche's own need for measurement acquisition, real time calculation and analysis.
Development started in the early '80s and has been in constant progress since.
One of the most important stages of this development was the creation of the first industrial version, set up in 1989 on the CITROEN site of Rennes La Jannais (France).
The development of the 'Kernel' of the software programme, as well as the selection of the hardware, were initially carried-out in conjunction with a specialized company and later carried further independently by BARRAULT RECHERCHE.
The European Commission has supported the project in the framework of the Thermie Programme and financed the prototype installed on the Citroen site in Rennes La Janais for the supervision of the steam production.
In 1991, the experts of the European Commission granted BARexpert as an innovative product.
Other specific modules were also developed for fluids such as overheated water, compressed air, etc.
In 1995, ADEME* supported the development of a specific module adapted to industrial refrigeration processes.

BARexpert© is used as an expertise support tool, as it allows manufacturers to control 80% of the expertise of their installations.
